The Homestead at Netherhall Gardens (as featured in Australian Country Style magazine) is a combination of a magnificent restoration and extension to what was one of Bundanoon’s traditional Australian Edwardian homesteads. Built in 1903, this exquisitely designed and decorated house features four bedrooms and three bathrooms, one featuring a seductive sunken tub opening onto a private courtyard through original French doors. A master retreat boasts a king size bed, private full ensuite, sitting area and doors opening onto its own balcony, and is equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities.

A loft library containing literally hundreds of books to peruse and read during your stay, complete with the most comfortable sofa imaginable, overlooks the rectory table and fireplace. The enormous open plan kitchen complete with SMEG appliances leads directly to the rectory dining table (with seating for up to ten guests) ensuring no gourmand is left isolated whilst preparing amazing meals. A relaxed sitting area, culminating in the magnificent sandstone featured fireplace bookends the “Great Hall” of the Homestead. Concertina doors along the Great Hall and servery windows in the kitchen bring the outside in, with views and scents of the gardens filling the premises generously. The large deck leads down to a local sandstone-paved entertaining area, with plentiful outdoor furniture for those barbeques and alfresco meals.

The original section of the Homestead contains a private study with broadband access and formal parlour (both with their own open gas fireplaces), as well as numerous French doors to a myriad of private courtyards, hidden verandahs and lush gardens. With five separate lounging areas indoors, and an abundance of secluded nooks throughout the grounds, you won’t find it difficult to discover your own favourite corner of Netherhall Gardens. Child-friendly.   Dogs welcome with prior arrangement.
